Job summary

Advocate South Suburban Hospital is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join the imaging team. The role requires proficiency in angiography and ultrasound, assisting with complex procedures, patient monitoring, and post-processing of images.

The position supports four 10-hour shifts weekly, with one weeknight on-call per cycle and rotating weekends and holidays. Licensure through IL and ARRT, as well as BLS and ACLS within 6 months, are required.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology.
• 2 years in Interventional Radiologic Technologist role typical.
• IL Radiographer license and ARRT registration required.

Responsibilities

• Operate angiographic and ultrasound equipment for inpatients and outpatients.
• Assist with interventional procedures as scrub assistant with equipment knowledge.
• Monitor patient status and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Post-process images with proper labeling and patient data.
• Maintain records and document billing codes for procedures.
