Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform imaging procedures in accordance with department standards and hospital policies.

Responsibilities include preparing the interventional suite, maintaining aseptic technique, assisting with patient positioning, documenting procedures, managing supplies, and upholding radiation safety. Required ARRT certification and an Associate degree or technical certificate; prior IR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical certification or 6 months to 1 year related experience.
• ARRT Radiography Certification and Registration (R).
• Prior experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Set up interventional suite with instruments and supplies.
• Use aseptic technique; follow policies for medication, contrast, and specimen handling.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and draping; ensure correct patient and site.
• Adapt to provider preferences and update materials as needed.
• Complete required documentation (regulatory, billing, image distribution).
• Maintain supplies and participate in inventory control.
• Implement radiation protection and patient safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
