Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Alabama is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technician to support physicians during procedures. You will prepare the room, ensure sterility, manage supplies, and operate radiology equipment with adherence to safety and privacy policies.

This role requires ARRT certification and strong knowledge of C-Arm and ultrasound equipment, with a focus on patient care, documentation, and CQI practices.

Qualifications

• ARRT or state licensure is required or strongly preferred.
• Experience with interventional procedures and related materials.
• Proficient with sterile technique and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and procedure room per policies and regulations.
• Review orders to determine materials and supplies needed.
• Set up and stock procedure room/equipment prior to procedure.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and prepping.
• Operate C-Arm and coordinate fluoroscopy to guide interventions.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Document data, label intravenous medications, and process images.
• Assist with inventory, instrument readiness, and environmental safety.
• Participate in CQI activities and regulatory surveys.
• Train and orient new staff; ensure accurate medical records.
