Job summary

UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC seeks an Interventional Radiology professional to provide imaging support during procedures and assist the interventional radiology team. The role involves multi-modality imaging, equipment operation, patient care, and coordination with anesthesia and nursing to ensure timely procedures.

Applicants should have an associated radiologic program completion, ARRS registry eligibility or registration within one year, and current BLS/ACLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Document procedures and schedule patients; coordinate with anesthesia and related teams.
• Operate imaging equipment and provide intra-operative imaging support.
• Assist in selecting and managing supplies; maintain sterile technique.
• Set up interventional suite and input patient data into imaging systems.
• Manage equipment and supply inventory for procedures.
• Provide team support as first assist during procedures.
• May serve as workflow coordinator and lead staff in absence of supervisor.
