Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Interventional Radiology to join the Franklin facility. The role involves high-precision imaging, assisting radiologists during vascular and non-vascular procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the imaging process.

The position requires ARRT VIR credentials, Wisconsin licensure, and BLS certification, with a focus on General Radiography and IR radiography. Evening call and shift coverage may apply in this role.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography credential required within 15 months of hire; General Radiography also required; state licensure issued by Wisconsin board.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-precision imaging and complex interventional procedures to provide Radiologists with diagnostic clarity for life-saving treatments.
• Prioritize patient safety and comfort by positioning patients and managing radiation protocols for gentle, effective scans.
• Prepare and administer medications and contrast media to support specialized procedures.
• Monitor patient well-being in real-time and communicate status changes to ensure a safe imaging environment.
• Refine imaging protocols and ensure adherence to regulatory standards to maintain high-quality patient care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Vascular-Intrvn Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 15 Months (1 1/4 year) of hire date or job transfer date required. General Radiography required in addition to Vascular Interventional Radiology required. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required. General Radiology and state licensure required by hire or job transfer date.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• 8a-430p with evening, weekend and holiday call rotation please
• IR experience preferred
