Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to support the Heart & Vascular Institute. The role involves assisting physicians in invasive cardiology and radiology procedures, maintaining patient care, and ensuring safety and accuracy in a dynamic team environment.

The position offers a sign-on bonus and requires ARRT radiography registration, Illinois licensure, and ACLS within 1 year. On-call duties and variable shifts are expected.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
ARRT certification required for radiography licensure.
State licensure in radiologic technology and ACLS within 12 months.

Responsibilities

Administers contrast material per physician request with appropriate access.
Works under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
Assists with inventory and supplies.
Verifies patient identity and chart accuracy.
Collects and documents pertinent clinical information.
Participates in staff training and provides instruction when needed.
Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort, safety and confidentiality.
Performs essential radiologic technologist functions and on-call/variable shifts.
