Qualifications

• ARRT registered radiographer in good standing must be achieved.
• Illinois Radiologic Technologist license required.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.
• Associate's degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Administrates contrast material per physician request and monitors for allergies.
• All functions performed under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
• Assists with inventory and supplies.
• Verifies patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.
• Compiles pertinent clinical information (lab, pathology, etc.).
• Assists in instruction of new staff as necessary.
• Documents accurately in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients and provides comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
• Performs all essential Radiologic Technologist functions.
• Performs on-call duties and/or variable shifts as assigned.
