Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support Interventional Radiology doctors with scheduling patient appointments and procedures. The role involves coordinating with CT and GA teams, preparing pre-procedure letters, and updating Penn Chart/Demographics in Epic.

Responsibilities include handling multiple phone lines, registrar duties for new patients, and documenting interactions in Epic.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required; 5 years of admin support experience preferred.
• Experience scheduling patient appointments and coordinating procedures in Epic.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to manage calendars and reimbursement tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize the schedules of IR doctors.
• Schedule new patient consults and procedures for IR doctors.
• Prepare and send pre-procedure letters via Epic, mail, or email.
• Register new patients in Epic and update demographics/insurance.
• Answer and route patient calls on department lines; check voicemails.
• Scan documents into OnBase and upload imaging as needed.
• Review and route progress notes to care teams.
• Complete port-site checks when needed and assist onboarding.
