Job summary

Albany Medical College in New York's Capital Region seeks an experienced Interventional Pulmonologist to join its Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine as a faculty member. The role includes outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, and involvement in a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship program.

The ideal candidate will have Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship training and be board certified or eligible, with expertise in EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, airway stenting, and

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship trained and AABIP board certified or eligible.
• Experience with procedures such as EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, airway stenting, and management of complex airway disease.
• Interest in an academic medical center environment, including education, research, and/or quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients with complex pulmonary and airway disorders.
• Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy procedures including EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, robotic bronchoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, airway stenting, tumor debulking and ablation, and management of central airway obstruction.
• Bronchoscopic evaluation of pulmonary nodules and masses.
• Evaluate and manage patients with complex pleural disease and perform advanced pleural procedures as appropriate.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists.
• Educate and mentor residents, fellows, medical students, and advanced practice providers.
