Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking an Interventional Pulmonologist to join its Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. The role includes outpatient and inpatient care, with responsibilities across a busy ICU and educational programs.

The ideal candidate will be fellowship trained in Interventional Pulmonary, board certified or eligible, and committed to education, research, and quality improvement within an academic health system.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree is required.
• Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship training and AABIP board certification or eligibility.
• Experience with advanced bronchoscopy procedures (EBUS, navigational, rigid) and airway management.
• Interest in an academic medical center environment including education, research, and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients with complex pulmonary and airway disorders.
• Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy procedures (EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, robotic bronchoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, airway stenting, tumor debulking/ablation).
• Evaluate and manage complex pleural disease and perform advanced pleural procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Educate and mentor residents, fellows, and learners.
