Job summary

Albany Medical College’s Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine seeks an Interventional Pulmonologist faculty member to join its growing division. The role covers outpatient, inpatient consults and ICU care while supporting a fellowship program.

Responsibilities include advanced bronchoscopy (EBUS, navigational/robotic/rigid), airway stenting, pleural procedures, tumor debulking, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Academic appointment and a competitive package accompany this role.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship trained and AABIP board certified or eligible.
• Experience with advanced bronchoscopy procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders.
• Perform advanced diagnostic/therapeutic bronchoscopy including EBUS, navigational/robotic/rigid bronchoscopy and airway stenting.
• Evaluate and manage complex pleural disease and perform thoracentesis, chest tube placement, indwelling catheter placement, and medical thoracoscopy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor residents, fellows, medical students, and APPs.
