Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is seeking an Interventional Pulmonologist to join its faculty at Albany Medical College. The role emphasizes outpatient, inpatient, ICU, and a strong education/research component.

The candidate will perform advanced bronchoscopy procedures (EBUS, navigational/robotic/rigid bronchoscopy), airway stenting, pleural care, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship trained and AABIP board certified or eligible.
• Experience with procedures such as EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, airway stenting, and management of complex airway disease.
• Interest in an academic medical center environment, including education, research, and/or quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients with complex pulmonary and airway disorders.
• Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy procedures, including EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, robotic bronchoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, airway stenting, tumor debulking and ablation, and management of central airway obstruction.
• Evaluate and manage patients with complex pleural disease and perform advanced pleural procedures as appropriate.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate/mentor residents, fellows, medical students, and APPs.
