Job summary

Albany Med Health System seeks an Interventional Pulmonologist to join the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Albany Medical College. You will contribute to outpatient and inpatient care, education, and research in a thriving academic environment.

The role involves performing EBUS, navigational/robotic bronchoscopy, airway stenting, and complex airway management, with collaboration across multiple specialties.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship trained and AABIP board certified or eligible.
• Experience with EBUS, navigational and robotic bronchoscopy and airway stenting.
• Interest in an academic medical center environment with education/research/quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients with complex pulmonary and airway disorders.
• Perform advanced bronchoscopy procedures including EBUS and navigational bronchoscopy.
• Place airway stents and perform tumor debulking/ablation.
• Manage central airway obstruction and evaluate nodules/masses bronchoscopically.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across pulmonology, thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology and pathology.
• Educate and mentor residents, fellows, medical students, and advanced practice providers.
