Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship trained and AABIP board certified or eligible.
• Experience with procedures such as EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, airway stenting, and management of complex airway disease.
• Interest in an academic medical center environment, including education, research, and/or quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients with complex pulmonary and airway disorders.
• Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy procedures, including EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, robotic bronchoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, airway stenting, tumor debulking and ablation, management of central airway obstruction, and bronchoscopy evaluation of pulmonary nodules and masses.
• Evaluate and manage patients with complex pleural disease, including pleural effusions, pneumothorax, and malignant pleural disease.
• Perform advanced pleural procedures, such as thoracentesis, chest tube placement, indwelling pleural catheter placement, and medical thoracoscopy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists.
• Educate and mentor residents, fellows, medical students, and advanced practice providers.
