Albany Medical College in New York seeks an Interventional Pulmonologist to join its Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine as a faculty member. The role includes outpatient/inpatient care, a busy ICU, and a strong emphasis on education and research within an academic health system.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship trained and AABIP board certified or eligible.
• Experience with procedures such as EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, airway stenting, and management of complex airway disease.
• Interest in an academic medical center environment, including education, research, and/or quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients with complex pulmonary and airway disorders.
• Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy procedures (EBUS, navigational, robotic, rigid bronchoscopy, airway stenting, tumor debulking/ablation, central airway obstruction management).
• Evaluate and manage complex pleural disease and perform pleural procedures (thoracentesis, chest tube, indwelling catheter, thoracoscopy).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists).
• Educate and mentor residents, fellows, medical students, and advanced practice providers.
