Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist to operate the heart catheterization laboratory, perform fluoroscopy and monitor patient vitals during procedures. Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic sciences required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS & ACLS certifications within 6 months of hire.
• ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology.
• No prior experience required; 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist team in patient setup and prep before procedures and post-procedure cleanup.
• Document procedures in the log for accurate billing and charge capture.
• Operate radiographic fluoroscopy to image coronary and peripheral vessels.
• Monitor hemodynamic status during procedures and report values to the physician.
• Ensure safe radiation delivery with minimal staff exposure.
• Transmit, archive, and retrieve images in PACS.
• Perform quality control and routine fluoroscopy equipment maintenance.
• Adapt communication to patient population and privacy requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
