ACCEL Schools LLC in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an Intervention Specialist at Capital City Sports Academy to support students with IEPs through collaborative teaching, behavior support, and data-driven instruction. The role includes leading IEP meetings, developing goals, and implementing behavior plans to drive student achievement and social-emotional growth.

Ideal candidates will know State Standards, have experience in inclusive/co-teaching settings, communicate well, and be proficient with MS

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in a full room inclusion or Co-Teaching model.
• Growth-focused coaching with frequent observations and action planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting abilities and disabilities, assisting in intervention strategies and regular class work.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP Meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Relentlessly work to meet all goals related to student achievement and culture.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching into daily lessons and interactions.
• Serve as advisor for a designated set of students.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
