Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC’s Columbus Arts & Technology Academy seeks an Intervention Specialist to support students with IEPs, focusing on academic and social-emotional development in a full-time classroom.

You will collaborate with teachers, conduct assessments, participate in IEP meetings, implement behavior plans, and engage families. The school emphasizes inclusive practices and offers benefits and growth opportunities within ACCEL Schools network.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or co-teaching in a resource room model.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with teachers to interpret student abilities and modify curricula as needed.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals.
• Engage families to discuss student growth and progress.
• Support non-instructional activities and school events.
