Job summary

The Reynoldsburg City Schools' Intervention Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality, individualized instruction and SDI to students with disabilities, ensuring FAPE in LRE through IEPs aligned with Ohio standards.

The role focuses on students with Moderate to Intensive needs, including those with significant academic, physical, emotional, or sensory challenges, and requires a valid Ohio license and strong knowledge of IDEA and IEP processes.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio License: Intervention Specialist (Mild/Moderate K-12) AND/OR Intervention Specialist (Moderate/Intensive K-12).
• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development and compliance requirements.
• Must pass a criminal background check (BCI/FBI).

Responsibilities

• Draft, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA and state/federal rules.
• Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
• Lead IEP and ETR meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide high-structure instruction in inclusive and specialized settings.
• Support students with Moderate/Intensive needs in academics, life skills and behavior.
