Job summary

The Reynoldsburg City Schools seek an Intervention Specialist to provide specially designed instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring FAPE in the LRE and developing IEPs aligned with Ohio standards. A primary focus is supporting students with Moderate to Intensive needs, including academic, physical, emotional, or sensory challenges.

The role requires an Ohio Intervention Specialist license, a bachelor’s degree in special education, and knowledge of IDEA and IEP processes.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio license: Intervention Specialist (Mild/Moderate K‑12) and/or (Moderate/Intensive K‑12).
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and compliance requirements.
• Must pass a criminal background check (BCI/FBI).

Responsibilities

• Develop annual goals and short‑term objectives based on the student’s present levels of performance.
• Identify accommodations and modifications for students with mild to significant disabilities.
• Draft, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participate in and/or lead IEP meetings and collaborative planning with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide high‑structure instruction for Moderate/Intensive needs in inclusive or specialized settings.
