Job summary

Reynoldsburg City Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist to provide high-quality, individualized instruction to students with disabilities. The role focuses on FAPE in LRE, developing IEPs aligned with Ohio standards, and supporting moderate to intensive needs.

The ideal candidate will hold an Ohio Intervention Specialist license, possess a Special Education degree, and have knowledge of IDEA/IEP processes. Strong collaboration with teams and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio License: Intervention Specialist (Mild/Moderate K-12) AND/OR Intervention Specialist (Moderate/Intensive K-12).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and compliance requirements.
• Must pass a criminal background check (BCI/FBI).

Responsibilities

• Draft, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA.
• Progress monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Lead IEP/ETR meetings and participate in collaborative planning with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide high-quality SDI to students with disabilities in various instructional settings.
• Collaborate with school psychologists, general ed teachers, and related services staff.
• Communicate with families about student progress and transitions.
