ACCEL Schools LLC is hiring Intervention Specialists for Northwest School of the Arts in Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on supporting students with IEPs in an inclusive setting, driving both academic and social-emotional growth.

You will collaborate with teachers, conduct assessments, facilitate IEPs, and implement behavior plans, while maintaining strong family communication and culturally responsive practices.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in a full room inclusion model or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room.
• High-level written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management abilities.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with teachers to interpret abilities/disabilities and modify general education curricula as needed.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals/objectives.
• Strive to meet goals related to student achievement, culture, and state targets.
• Use research-based practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Apply culturally responsive teaching in lessons and interactions with students and families.
• Serve as advisor for a designated group of students.
• Regularly communicate with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Plan and participate in non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
