ACCEL Schools LLC is hiring an Intervention Specialist for South Columbus Preparatory Academy - German Village in Columbus, Ohio. The role focuses on supporting students with educational, behavioral, and social needs, with an emphasis on those eligible for special education and related services.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting abilities/disabilities to support classroom intervention strategies.
• Ability to conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Ability to write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Experience facilitating IEP meetings and writing goals/objectives.
• Strong communication and collaboration with families and staff.
• Experience in multicultural settings or diverse communities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities and support intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP Meetings and write IEP goals/objectives.
• Communicate regularly with families about student growth.
• Assist in planning non-instructional activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
