ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist at Innovative Career Academy in Columbus, Ohio, to support educational and behavioral goals for students, especially those with IEPs, in a high school setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, data-informed planning, and culturally responsive instruction. Compensation includes a salary range and robust benefits; successful candidates will pass background checks and fit within ACCEL Schools' network.

Formación

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience working in a full room inclusion type model or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• High quality written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting abilities and disabilities and assisting intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP Meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Relentlessly work to meet goals related to student achievement and culture.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices in daily lessons and interactions.
• Serve as advisor for a designated set of students.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth.
• Participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
