Job summary

Commonwealth of VA Careers seeks a contract oversight professional to provide daily oversight of contractors performing maintenance on interstates and major primaries. You will monitor compliance with contract requirements, assist with reports, and support contract development and administration in accordance with policies.

Responsibilities include coordinating with district staff, reviewing contractor performance, and ensuring safety, quality, and timeliness of work.

Qualifications

Ability to evaluate the work of others.
Ability to gather, analyze data and maintain accurate records.
Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications.
Ability to plan, monitor and evaluate contractual personnel activities.

Responsibilities

Communicate with contractors to discuss contract questions, resolve conflicts and to review and respond to citizen concerns and complaints regarding contract related issues.
Monitor contracts and provide guidance and direction to field workers. Review and verify completed contract work.
Address and document contractor performance issues and notify manager.
Review requirements and interpret and identify contract specifications. Perform contract monitoring, field inspections and audit of operations based on performance data.
Monitor compliance with established standard operating procedures.
