Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Social Services is seeking an Interstate Child Support Coordinator to review referrals from county offices and the public, applying federal UIFSA rules to determine proper action. You will cross-reference petitions, enter data into PACSS, and manage caseloads within required timeframes.

This role requires accurate recordkeeping and collaboration with state offices to ensure proper support collection and distribution while safeguarding PII and protecting agency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and three years of experience in clerical, administrative, social work, child support services, correctional, business administration, or general business.
• Associate Degree and one year of experience in clerical, administrative, social work, child support services, correctional, business administration, or general business.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher may be substituted for required work experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and determining action on incoming child support referrals from county Department of Social Services offices, clerks of court, and general public.
• Cross-referencing interstate petitions with the PACSS system to avoid duplication and entering transmittals online.
• Managing caseloads to meet federally mandated time frames and maintaining case records per FR 45 CFR 303.10.
• Processing interstate transmittals and correspondence from other states, tribal actions, and countries.
• Reviewing transmittals for required UIFSA documents.
• Providing updates to offices to ensure proper child support collection and distribution.

Education
