Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Social Services is seeking a Child Support Services Accountant/Fiscal Analyst to ensure accurate financial reporting and reimbursement by analyzing, compiling, and reconciling cost data from multiple clerks of court across the state.

The role also involves maintaining detailed tracking of incentive payments, safeguarding PII, and supporting transparency and compliance in family court-related programs, with duties including shelter support when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with five years financial experience.
• Associate Degree with three years financial experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, government, management, or public administration.
• Bachelor's Degree in any field with one year financial experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a motor vehicle for field work.
• If credentials qualify you, provide a certified transcript if selected.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and compiles the Cost Reports from the 46 Clerks of Court.
• Compiles, reconciles, and maintains Excel spreadsheets for Cost Reimbursement, Court Service of Process, Sheriff Service of Process, and Filing Fees.
• Tracks monthly Incentive payments and quarterly Incentive Expenditures incurred.
• Ensures personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed; protects agency networks and data.
• Serves as P-Card Liaison.
• Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Associate Degree
