Job summary

Providence Swedish Linguistic Services is seeking a scheduler/dispatcher to manage daily interpreter scheduling, using a multi-line phone system and a computer database. You will respond to interpreter requests, screen eligibility, and assign tasks to providers.

You will also evaluate processes and provide feedback to improve both computerized and manual systems. The role emphasizes cultural sensitivity, experience with diverse populations, and knowledge of contracts and social services

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a scheduler/dispatcher or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds showing sensitivity to cultural differences and concerns

Responsibilities

• Manage daily scheduling using a multi-line phone system and a computerized database.
• Respond to Swedish Medical Center requests for interpreters and screen service eligibility.
• Review daily unassigned requests and assign them to the appropriate service providers.
• Provide feedback on software parameters and evaluate assignment processes to improve efficiency.
• Support the Linguistic Services team in communicating structure and service levels of interpreter services.
