Job summary

The Oregon Judicial Department's Court Language Access Services (CLAS) is hiring an Interpreter Scheduler to coordinate interpreters for circuit courts statewide. You will receive and document requests, schedule interpreters, recruit prospective interpreters, and help set pay rates.

This full-time hybrid role requires strong clerical skills, calendar management, and clear communication with judges, attorneys, and court staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years in court operations or scheduling or related field.
• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to three years’ experience that supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Responsibilities

• Schedule interpreters and maintain lists of interpreters and agencies.
• Recruit prospective interpreters and negotiate pay rates.
• Assign interpreters to circuit courts statewide and make travel arrangements.
• Communicate with judges, administrators, analysts, coordinators, court staff, attorneys and other users of interpreting services.
• Provide administrative support by writing, sending and filing correspondence and conducting research.
