Job summary

Sterling Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a safety-oriented intern in Oklahoma City to assist with the corporate safety program and site evaluations. You will help maintain documentation, report statistics, and drive improvements across project sites.

The role requires pursuing a Bachelor's in Occupational Health and Safety, a minimum GPA of 2.75, and a high school diploma. Construction experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related degree.
• Minimum GPA 2.75.
• Junior or Senior (highly preferred).
• Past construction work experience is preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Maintain divisional Safety and Health Program to meet or exceed corporate minimums.
• Ensure timely reporting of statistical data to corporate.
• Create, communicate, enforce and identify opportunities for improvements in Corporate Safety Program.
• Maintain all administrative tasks related to project-specific safety documentation/filing systems.
• Assist in conducting regularly scheduled site evaluations and tracking corrections to deficiencies.
• Enforce documentation on proper training of employees as related to their scope of work.
