Job summary

Sterling Construction Company, Inc. is seeking interns to support our Safety and Health programs in Oklahoma City, OK. Interns will help maintain safety documentation, report data, and enforce training standards on-site.

Qualified candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, with a minimum GPA of 2.75, and may also have past construction exposure. High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related degree.
• Minimum GPA 2.75
• Past construction work experience is preferred but not required
• High School Diploma

Responsibilities

• Maintaining divisional Safety and Health Program that meets or exceeds corporate minimum requirements
• Ensure timely reporting of statistical data to corporate
• Create, communicate, enforce and identify opportunities for improvements in Corporate Safety Program
• Maintaining all administrative tasks related to project specific safety documentation/filing systems, etc.
• Assist in conducting regularly scheduled site evaluations, follow up and tracking of corrections to deficiencies
• Enforce documentation on the proper training of employees as related to their scope of work
