Job summary

Sterling Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an internship in Occupational Health and Safety in Denver, CO.

Interns will assist in maintaining the Safety and Health Program, reporting statistics to corporate, and identifying opportunities for program improvements. The role includes handling administrative tasks for safety documentation, conducting site evaluations, tracking deficiencies, and ensuring proper training documentation for employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is required.
• GPA of 2.75 or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain divisional Safety and Health Program to meet or exceed corporate minimum requirements.
• Ensure timely reporting of statistical data to corporate.
• Create, communicate, enforce and identify opportunities for improvements in Corporate Safety Program.
• Maintain all administrative tasks related to project safety documentation/filing systems.
• Assist in site evaluations, follow up and tracking of corrections to deficiencies.
• Enforce documentation on training of employees related to scope of work.

Education

Position_Description :

Interns will be expected to assist in:

1. Maintaining divisional Safety and Health Program that meets or exceeds corporate minimum requirements
2. Ensure timely reporting of statistical data to corporate
3. Create, communicate, enforce and identify opportunities for improvements in Corporate Safety Program
4. Maintaining all administrative tasks related to project specific safety documentation/filing systems, etc.
5. Assist in conducting regularly scheduled site evaluations, follow up and tracking of corrections to deficiencies
6. Enforce documentation on the proper training of employees as related to their scope of work

Position Requirements :

1. Junior or Senior (highly preferred)
2. Minimum GPA 2.75
3. Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related degree.
4. Past construction work experience is preferred but not required
