Job summary

Sterling Construction Company, Inc. offers an internship in Denver, CO, where you will assist Project Superintendents and support project startup activities.

You will help with public relations, claims, change orders, and field documentation under close supervision to gain hands-on experience in construction management. The role requires you to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering with a minimum GPA of 2.75; prior construction exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA 2.75.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• Past construction work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Superintendents.
• Assist in public relations, claims, subcontractor back charges, and force account work.
• Process all documents required to start-up project as outlined in project checklist.
• Update and maintain CPM under direction of PM.
• Distribute monthly schedule to field and subcontractors.
• Schedule surveys and inspections for field operations.
• Update and maintain as-Built drawings if required.
• Track quantities to ensure accurate payment by Owner.
• Manage Blue Stakes.
• Manage change order correspondence and tracking.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering

Salary Interval: Hourly

Interns will be expected to assist in:

• Assists Project Superintendents
• Assisting in public relations, claims, subcontractor back charges, and force account work
• Processing all documents required to start-up project as outlined in project checklist.
• Update and maintain C.P.M. under direction of P.M.
• Monthly schedule distribution to field and subcontractors.
• Schedule survey and inspections for field operations.
• Update and maintain as-Built drawings if required.
• Tracking quantities to ensure accurate payment by Owner.
• Managing Blue Stakes.
• Managing change order correspondence and tracking

Position Requirements

1. Junior or Senior (highly preferred)
2. Minimum GPA 2.75
3. Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering
4. Past construction work experience is preferred
