Job summary

The Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Inc. in Boston seeks an International Office liaison to coordinate international referrals across Mass General Brigham.

You will lead case management, facilitate consultations, and optimize processes for efficient service delivery to international patients. Responsibilities include data accuracy in registration systems, billing oversight, and representing the program to patients and providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree related field required.
• Program support or program management experience 1-2 years required.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
• Basic financial accounting skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Superior interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of staff, patients, families and community organizations.
• Proficiency in medical terminology.
• Familiarity with a hospital environment preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle sensitive information and multicultural matters.
• Ability to relate to patients from varied countries and backgrounds with cultural awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases, planning inpatient and outpatient care with providers for consultation, diagnosis, and procedures.
• Facilitates consultations at affiliated locations including Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center.
• Uses a web-based appointment system to create ad-hoc reports, analyze data, notify care providers, and respond to client requests.
• Manage billing and payments to provide timely, seamless service.
• Ensure accuracy of international demographics and financial data in hospital systems.
• Receive and manage letters of guarantee from embassies or insurance companies.
• Notify patients and physician offices of potential deposit issues, cancellations or rescheduling.
• Present a positive awareness of the International Program internally and externally.
• Deliver concierge-level attention to service for each patient.
• Other assignments as necessary.
