Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston seeks an experienced internal medicine physician to provide primary and specialty care for international patients, ensuring high-quality care during their stay.

The role includes weekly rounds, cross-specialty care coordination across Mass General Brigham, and collaboration with referring physicians worldwide. Travel may be required to engage with stakeholders; onsite at 75 Francis Street.

Qualifications

• Licensed and board-certified internal medicine physician in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of practice preferred.
• Eligible for clinical privileges in internal medicine at both BWH and MGH.

Responsibilities

• Provides primary and focused care management to BWH and MGH international patients during their stay in Boston for specialty management of often complex conditions.
• Rounds on international inpatients weekly at both BWH and MGH with a focus on coordination with clinical teams and improving patient experience.
• Coordinates care between multiple specialties across MGB.
• Communicates regularly with patients’ referring physicians from home country, embassy medical coordinators, and other third parties.
• Serves as a clinical resource for IPC staff in triaging new cases, clinical questions, and orders/documentation.
• Participates in QA/QI reviews of international patient cases.
• Conducts comprehensive executive physical exams for international patients according to guidelines.
• Travels to offsite meetings (domestic and international) with key stakeholders.
