Job summary

Pan Atlantic Foundation is seeking an International Area Representative to recruit host families, guide them through applications, and provide ongoing support for international student exchanges. The role emphasizes strong interpersonal communication, community engagement, and independent work in a remote, flexible, 1099 capacity.

The position requires building relationships with schools and families, visiting locations as needed, and documenting progress in the organization’s online system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with families, schools, and diverse students.
• Comfortable conducting in-home visits and interviews.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage time.
• Reliable transportation for local travel to schools and host family homes.
• Basic computer literacy for online documentation and applications.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit prospective host families within the assigned area to support international student exchange programs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local schools to raise awareness of exchange opportunities.
• Promote public awareness of exchange programs through community outreach and engagement activities.
• Guide prospective host families through the online application process on the organization's website.
• Conduct in-home interviews with potential host families and verify references for suitability.
• Facilitate host family orientations prior to student arrival to set expectations and provide guidance.
• Perform monthly check-ins with host families and students via phone or in-person visits.
• Document all interactions, check-ins, and progress in the online system.
