Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for the Telemetry unit in Olympia Fields, IL. This Day Shift, full-time assignment offers $60.00 per hour (flat rate) and runs for approximately 12 weeks with possibility of extension.

The RN will deliver direct patient care using the nursing process, monitor cardiac telemetry, and collaborate with physicians on changes in patient condition. BLS and ACLS required on hire; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• RN-BC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Compensation: $60.00 per hour (Flat Rate)

Assignment Details

The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks; however, staffing needs will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Pay Transparency

Olympia Fields Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $60.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
