Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Telemetry in Olympia Fields, IL on Day Shift. This temporary internal registry role lasts approximately 12 weeks with compensation of $60.00 per hour (flat rate).

The RN will provide direct patient care, perform assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, and guide patient/family teaching in a Telemetry Unit. Qualifications include current IL RN license, BLS, ACLS, and basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire; BSN

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care within Telemetry Unit using the nursing process.
• Direct patient care and guidance of patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and response to treatment.

Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift

Assignment Details:

The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks; however, staffing needs will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Olympia Fields Hospitaloffers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $60.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
