Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Olympia Fields, IL is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for the Telemetry unit on the Day Shift. The assignment is initially 12 weeks, with potential continuation based on staffing needs.

The RN will deliver safe patient care, perform nursing assessments, plan and implement care, and collaborate with physicians regarding cardiac monitoring and test results. Requires current IL RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days, and Telemetry experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license required.
• BLS certification required on hire.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days.
• Telemetry/acute care experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry.
• Provide direct patient care and patient/family teaching.
• Coordinate with physicians on changes in condition and test results.
• Direct and guide other nursing staff while maintaining standards.

Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift

Location: Olympia Fields, ILDepartment: TelemetryStatus: Temporary Internal RegistryShift: Day ShiftCompensation: $60.00 per hour (Flat Rate)

Assignment Details:

The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks; however, staffing needs will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire. 4. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.5. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.6. Ventilator Management experience preferred.7. Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Olympia Fields Hospitaloffers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $60.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
