St. Mary’s Hospital – Kankakee is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry RN for the Telemetry unit on the Night Shift in Kankakee. The assignment is 12 weeks, with potential adjustments based on staffing needs.

Compensation is $60.00 per hour (Flat Rate); requires RN license, BLS, ACLS; BSN and RN-BC preferred; ventilator management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry.
• Provide direct patient care and patient/family teaching while guiding other nursing staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and respond quickly to changes.

Overview

Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift

Location: Kankakee

Department: Telemetry

Status: Temporary Internal Registry (Full-Time .9)

Shift: Night Shift

Compensation: $60.00 per hour (Flat Rate)

Assignment Details

The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks; however, staffing needs will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay Transparency

St. Mary's Hospital – Kankakee offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $60. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
