Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center – Joliet seeks a Temporary Internal Registry RN for the Night Shift in the ICU. The assignment lasts about 12 weeks with potential extension; compensation is $57.50 per hour (flat rate).

Responsibilities include direct ICU patient care, hemodynamic monitoring, and collaboration with physicians while upholding patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification current upon hire.
• Critical care course completed or in progress.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year as staff RN in acute care; critical care preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in ICU using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes to physicians.
• Protect patient privacy and ensure confidentiality in all care activities.

Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift

Assignment Details:

The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks; however, staffing needs will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current and valid state RN License.
• 2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 3. Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• 4. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• 5. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• 6. Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• 7. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• 8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay Transparency

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Jolietoffers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $57.50. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
