Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for the Day Shift in the ICU. Location: Joliet, IL. Assignment duration is approximately 12 weeks with potential adjustments based on staffing needs. Compensation is $57.50 per hour (flat rate).

The role requires a valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, and ICU/critical care experience or coursework. CCRN/BSN preferred. Shift is Day, status Temporary Internal Registry, full-time equivalent (.9).

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within ICU scope while guiding patient/family teaching.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
