Job summary

Carpe, a rapidly growing deodorant brand in Durham, NC, is hiring its first Internal Recruiter to own hiring across the company. You will recruit across finance, ecommerce, creative, operations, product, and marketing, learning every part of Carpe and building a bench of freelance talent for future needs.

Qualifications

• You learned recruiting to hunt for talent, not wait for applications.
• You know how to source, build searches, and engage passive candidates.
• You can manage multiple searches across functions with momentum.

Responsibilities

• Own full cycle hiring for every open role from intake to close.
• Source proactively with targeted searches and passive talent outreach.
• Assess fit by understanding roles, ownership, and impact.
• Lead first-screen discussions and form a point of view on candidates.
• Partner with managers to define success before searches begin.
• Own candidate experience and keep applicants informed.
• Find and onboard freelancers and contractors when needed.
• Manage external recruiting partners while building internal capabilities.
• Write and test compelling job descriptions and outbound messages.
• Run in-person interviews with projects and panels to drive decisions.
• Reference deeply to validate past performance and fit.
• Close exceptional candidates and maintain an accurate ATS.
