Job summary

WD is seeking an energetic Communications professional to join our Employee Communications team in California. You will develop organization-wide campaigns, manage intranet content, and write engaging communications for leadership and staff across the business.

Collaboration with stakeholders and a focus on storytelling are key to this role. You will work on newsletters, channels management, and event support, reporting to the Director of Employee Communications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of internal communications experience required.
• Excellent content development and writing skills for campaigns, blogs, video, and social media.
• Strong storytelling and script-writing abilities.
• Self-starter who can build relationships and drive engagement with minimal direction.
• Experience engaging employees through online communities or internal social platforms.
• Agency experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage communication materials: newsletters, FAQs, comms plans, intranet content, emails, internal social content.
• Oversee day-to-day management of company communication platforms and channels.
• Maintain and update editorial calendar.
• Identify stories across the business that highlight culture and values.
• Create short-form video content and write scripts for storytelling.
• Support internal events like All-Hands to boost engagement.
• Provide timely information to employees via email and Teams.
• Track and report on the effectiveness of internal communications programs.
