Job summary

AmeriVet seeks a Communications Specialist to own internal communications across video, newsletters, and social media. The role partners with Operations, Marketing, Medical and HR, delivering campaigns that drive engagement and action within our veterinary practice network.

You’ll lead video shoots, content development, and executive thought leadership pieces, collaborating with leaders to reinforce key messages and strengthen morale and culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field.
• 2–4 years in communications, journalism, marketing or a related field; healthcare or multi-site experience is a plus.
• Hands-on video experience: planning shoots, interviewing, filming and basic editing.
• Experience creating social media content and running campaigns.
• Experience with email/marketing tools (HubSpot, MS Office) and strong PowerPoint skills.
• Strong writing and editing skills; portfolio of written and video work.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines with stakeholders across departments.
• Comfort working with leaders at all levels and using AI tools daily.

Responsibilities

• Video strategy, editing & distribution (about 33% of time) and managing the Voices production queue.
• Lead content development for internal communications newsletters and campaigns.
• Plan and manage social media campaigns in alignment with the strategy.
• Support strategy execution with toolkits and key messages; assist in events and crisis communications.
