Job summary

The Indiana Department of Child Services is seeking an Internal Affairs Specialist to support the Internal Affairs Director and Investigator in enforcing the agency’s program for detecting and deterring misconduct, policy violations, fraud, waste, and abuse.

You will prepare data log requests, schedule interviews, assist with note-taking, assemble evidentiary materials, and edit investigation reports, applying strong written and verbal communication and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and submitting Outlook data log requests through Archer portal.
• Preparing and submitting case management system data log requests.
• Analyzing and converting data log reports into clear, sequential narrative summaries.
• Scheduling investigation-related interviews.
• Assisting with note-taking during interviews.
• Assisting with maintaining the Internal Affairs Referral investigation portal and electronic systems.
• Compiling evidentiary materials for investigations.
• Proofreading and editing investigation report documents.
• Assisting other Ethics and Compliance Division department as needed.
