Job summary

Ventura Coastal, LLC in Tipton, CA is seeking an Intern Recruiter to join our HR team and gain hands-on experience in the recruiting process, including sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews. Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources, recruiting, or Talent Acquisition.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel between Visalia and Tipton facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Source candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, community resources, and other recruiting channels.
• Review resumes and applications based on established job qualifications.
• Conduct initial candidate phone screens using established interview questions and guidelines.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process and help provide a positive candidate experience.
• Create, post, update, and monitor job advertisements.
• Assist with career fairs, hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach.
• Maintain candidate information and recruitment activity in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Assist with tracking recruitment metrics and preparing reports.
• Support offer, pre-employment, and onboarding activities.
• Help create recruiting materials and candidate communications.
• Participate in HR and Talent Acquisition projects focused on improving recruiting processes, sourcing strategies, and the candidate experience.
• Gain exposure to recruiting for hourly, skilled-trades, technical, and professional positions.

What You’ll Learn & Do

As a Intern Recruiter , you will assist our Talent Acquisition team with a variety of recruiting activities, including:

What We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
• Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources, recruiting, or Talent Acquisition.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Friendly and professional when interacting with candidates, employees, and managers.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable learning new systems and technology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel between our Visalia and Tipton facilities as needed.

Even Better If You Have

• Previous internship, administrative, customer service, HR, or recruiting experience.
• Familiarity with Paycom or another HRIS/Applicant Tracking System.
• Experience with LinkedIn, Indeed, or other recruiting platforms.
• Interest in manufacturing or high-volume recruiting.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• $19.00 per hour
• This is a temporary internship position and is not eligible for Company-sponsored benefits.
• Interns are eligible for California paid sick leave in accordance with applicable law.
