Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) is seeking a part-time Intern-PT to support office operations and contribute to strategic initiatives. You will assist with data entry, filing, and document preparation while contributing to projects and action plans with clear deliverables and timelines.

Responsibilities include meetings, research, data gathering for administrators, and ensuring CCC Customer Service Excellence standards are met. Chicago residency is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with a minimum 2.0 GPA.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work within a culturally diverse environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

++PRIMARY OBJECTIVE++

Reporting to an assigned administrator, an Intern-PT assists with general office duties and activities as determined and directed by the supervisor and supports the strategic plans and mission of the City Colleges of Chicago (CCC).

++ESSENTIAL DUTIES++
  • Assists staff in the day-to-day functions of the office, including general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation.
  • Provides support on various projects and assignments as needed.
  • Develops and maintains project work plans and action plans with clear deliverables and timelines.
  • Attends meetings as requested to obtain information pertinent to assignments.
  • Conducts research and analysis related to various projects and the strategic plan and mission of the District.
  • Communicates with various internal and external constituents to gather data and information for use by administrators.
  • Adheres to CCC Customer Service Excellence standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

++QUALIFICATIONS++
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Candidates who have either completed an Associates degree or have earned a minimum of 60 credit hours, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 2.0, and who intend to transfer to a 4-year institution, will also be considered. Completion of a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate required.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work within a culturally diverse environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

$17.00 – $18.00

Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as other factors such as internal equity.
