Tallgrass is seeking Summer 2027 interns for a in-person Project Controls internship in Houston. You will gain hands-on experience in scheduling, cost control, and reporting while working with seasoned professionals.
The program runs May–August for 10 weeks, offering mentorship, field exposure, and hands-on projects. Compensation includes hourly pay with potential housing stipend and PTO benefits, reflecting Tallgrass's top workplace standards.
Project Controls is a critical discipline within project management focused on planning, monitoring, and controlling project costs, schedules, and risks. The function provides accurate and timely data to support decision-making, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to scope. Key activities include schedule development and tracking, cost estimating and forecasting, risk management, and performance reporting. Project Controls acts as the project’s financial and schedule watchdog, helping to identify issues early and recommend corrective actions to keep the project on track.
Students actively enrolled in a degreed program and attending classes related to Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related field with expected graduation date of December 2026- May 2028
Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person at our Houston office. We will host our Summer 2027 interns from May–August for 10 weeks.
