Job summary

The Office of the South Dakota Attorney General in Rapid City is offering a Summer Intern – Office of the Attorney General - Paralegal position. This internship runs May through August and provides hands-on experience reviewing pleadings, performing data entry, and supporting attorneys and paralegals.

Intern must be enrolled as a part-time or full-time student and have completed at least one year of their program by the start of the internship. A background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply.
• By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.

Qualifications:
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.

All students are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions.

Successful applicant(s) will be required to undergo a background investigation. An arrest/conviction record will not necessarily bar employment. Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of a drug screening.
